Anfield Resources to Evaluate Vanadium Potential at its Velvet-Wood Mine
Momentum Public Relations
Press Release: November 21, 2017
VANCOUVER, BC–(Marketwired – November 21, 2017) – Anfield Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ARY) (OTCQB: ANLDF)(FRANKFURT: 0AD) (“Anfield” or “the Company”) announces that it is placing increased emphasis on the vanadium potential of its Velvet-Wood Mine, located in Utah. Anfield has engaged BRS Engineering, Inc. to update Anfield’s NI 43-101 resource report related to the Velvet-Wood Mine to include a vanadium exploration target. The report is expected to be completed within six to eight weeks.
Anfield’s prospective energy partners have shown a greater interest in the Company’s vanadium assets due to the significant upturn in the vanadium price this year. Anfield is also exploring the feasibility of including a vanadium circuit on its Shootaring Canyon uranium mill, which would allow it to process vanadium.
Velvet-Wood Mine
Based upon historical production, the Velvet-Wood Mine has the potential to be a significant source of vanadium. Between 1979 and 1984, Atlas Minerals mined approximately 400,000 tons of ore from the Velvet Deposit at grades of 0.46{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} U3O8and 0.64{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} V2O5, recovering approximately 4 million pounds of U3O8 and 5 million pounds of V2O5.
The current mineral resources of the combined Velvet and Wood mines have been estimated to comprise 4.6 million pounds of U3O8 at a grade of0.29{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} U3O8 (measured and indicated resource) and 552,000 pounds of U3O8 at a grade of 0.32{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} U3O8 (inferred resource). (Source: Velvet-Wood Mine Uranium Project, San Juan County, Utah USA NI 43-101 Mineral Reserve and Resource Report, Author: BRS Inc.; Date: 11/14/2014).
Corey Dias, Anfield’s CEO stated, “Vanadium is increasingly being embraced by battery manufacturers as a core material in the production of batteries to be used in both small-scale and large-scale applications; in fact, vanadium redox-flow batteries (VFBs) have started to grow in influence as energy companies look to improve energy storage. This ranges from grid-scale uses, such as Prudent Technology’s use of a VFB for its solar installation in Italy, to smaller-scale uses such as Warren Buffett’s BYD company using vanadium batteries for its electric vehicles and Subaru using a VFB to power its Subaru G4e vehicle. Vanadium is clearly viewed as an attractive alternative to other battery technology sources. Anfield is fortunate in having two energy metal resources together, both with highly positive demand projections: uranium and vanadium.”
Vanadium – an important commodity in a strategic location
85{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} of current vanadium production comes from three countries: China, Russia and South Africa. With increasing geopolitical trade uncertainty, it is clearly an advantage to have a domestic U.S. supply source for a strategic material driving an important new technology. Vanadium has traditionally been used to strengthen steel; however, its recent resurgence has come about due to its large-scale energy storage potential. VFBs have the ability to store mass energy, which potentially strengthens grid stability and the case for electric vehicles, and renewable energy.
Technical advances are driving flow battery technology closer to mass commercialization. In Dalian, China, there are plans to create a 200MW – 800MWh storage station, the largest VFB installation in the world. Since 2014, more than 30 VFB installations have either been deployed or are currently under construction. In addition, the use of VFBs in vehicles has the potential to improve upon lithium-ion batteries by increasing the voltage and energy density metrics. With all the developing needs and uses for advanced battery technology, industry spending on energy storage is expected to reach US$200 billion in 2020 alone — providing attractive marketing opportunities for Anfield.

Anfield Resources Engages BRS Engineering to Complete a Uranium Resource Report
Momentum Public Relations
Press Release: November 15, 2017
VANCOUVER, BC–(Marketwired – November 15, 2017) – Anfield Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ARY)(OTCQB: ANLDF)(FRANKFURT: 0AD)(“Anfield” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that is has engaged BRS Engineering to complete a mineral resource report for the Nine Mile uranium project in Wyoming. The Nine Mile project was purchased from Uranium One Americas Inc. (“Uranium One”) in September 2016 and is one of the 24 uranium mining properties acquired in the Black Hills, Powder River Basin, Great Divide Basin, Laramie Basin, Shirley Basin and Wind River Basin areas of Wyoming. As a key part of this 2016 transaction, Anfield also signed a Resin Processing Agreement with Uranium One whereby Anfield would process up to 500,000 pounds per annum of its mined material at Uranium One’s Irigaray processing plant in Wyoming.
Anfield has previously released two NI 43-101 compliant mineral resource technical reports for properties acquired from Uranium One in the 2016 transaction: 1) the Clarkson Hill uranium project, entitled “Clarkson Hill Uranium Project, Mineral Resource NI 43-101 Technical Report, Natrona County, Wyoming, USA” with an effective date of July 27, 2017 (the “Clarkson Hill Report”); and 2) the Red Rim uranium project, entitled “Red Rim Uranium Project, Mineral Resource Technical Report, National Instrument 43-101, Carbon County, Wyoming, USA” and dated March 31, 2017 (the “Red Rim Report”). These reports are filed on SEDAR and state the following estimated mineral resources:
- Clarkson Hill:
- Inferred Mineral Resource of 957,000 tons with an average grade of 0.058 {92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} eU3O8, estimated to contain 1,113,000 pounds of eU3O8.
- Red Rim:
- an Indicated Resource of 336,655 tons of mineralized material with an average grade of 0.170{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} eU3O8 (equivalent to an Indicated Resource of 1,142,449 pounds of eU3O8); and
- an Inferred Resource of 472,988 tons of mineralized material with an average grade of 0.163{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} eU3O8 (equivalent to an Inferred Resource of 1,539,447 pounds of eU3O8).
Corey Dias, Anfield CEO, states, “We are pleased to update and further delineate another uranium resource from amongst the 24 Wyoming uranium projects acquired from Uranium One in 2016. Importantly, this is only the third Wyoming project for which we are commissioning a resource report and, given that the Company acquired 24 Wyoming projects form Uranium One, we believe a significant pipeline remains.
Given the recent Cameco news, we also feel it is an important time to solidify our resource base and determine which of our uranium projects are the most viable. Near-term supply disruptions may continue as the spot price remains below the cost of production of many companies, and long-term utility contracts come to an end. We believe that the current uranium price is unsustainable at such low levels, and Anfield is committed to positioning itself as a future uranium producer to coincide with the expected rebound in the uranium price. Ultimately, Anfield aims to pair a future viable uranium resource with the Resin Processing Agreement it has in place with Uranium One in Wyoming whereby it can process up to 500,000 pounds of uranium per year at Uranium One’s Irigaray Central Processing Plant.”
About the Nine Mile Project
The Nine Mile Project is located in Natrona County Wyoming approximately nine miles north of Casper and both east and west of US Interstate 25. Roll-front type uranium mineralization occurs in the Teapot Sandstone within the Mesaverde Formation. Between November 1976 and November 1980 a test In Situ Leach (“ISL”) plant was operated on the Nine Mile Project by Rocky Mountain Energy Company (RME), with mixed results. A total of four wellfield patterns underwent testing and development, 3 patterns were completed using sulfuric acid and one using a carbonate leach. Acid was chosen after preliminary core tests suggested a 90{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} recovery versus 80{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} with carbonate leaches. The first test pattern using sulfuric acid created a gypsum build-up, limiting acid contact with the uranium resulting in poor recovery. The second wellfield pattern, also using sulfuric acid, utilized a water jet perforation method developed with the U.S. Bureau of Mines. This test was successful with solution concentrations ranging from 70 to 300 ppm U3O8, averaging a little over 100 ppm. Results for the last two wellfield trials are not available. In addition, in 1977 the US Bureau of Mines, in cooperation with RME, commissioned a field demonstration of hydraulic mining of uranium sands in the same general area of the ISL testing.
In 1981, RME issued an internal report titled “Nine Mile Lake Geological Evaluation” by B. Atherley, C. Heidenreich, and J. Moran, dated April 22, 1981, which summarizes “Uranium Reserves” for mineralized areas east of I25 and “Uranium Resources” west of I25. Both estimates were completed using a standard polygonal method. Both estimates applied a minimum uranium grade cutoff of 0.02 eU3O8. The “Uranium Reserves” east of I25 applied a minimum GT cutoff that varied by depth from 0.13 at 100 feet to 0.30 at 600 feet. The “Uranium Resources” west of I25 applied a minimum GT cutoff of 0.04. The report states “Mineral Reserves” of 3.9 million pounds of uranium (no average grade stated) and “Mineral Resources” of 1.1 million pounds at an average grade of 0.054{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} eU3O8. Anfield considers these estimates to be historical and cautions that a qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify the historical estimate as current mineral resources or mineral reserves and the Anfield is not treating the historical estimate as current mineral resource or mineral reserves.

Press Release: August 8, 2017
VANCOUVER, BC–(Marketwired – August 08, 2017) – Anfield Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ARY) (OTCQB: ANLDF)(FRANKFURT: 0AD) (“Anfield” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce the receipt of an NI 43-101 mineral resource technical report for the Clarkson Hill uranium project, entitled “Clarkson Hill Uranium Project, Mineral Resource NI 43-101 Technical Report, Natrona County, Wyoming, USA” with effective date July 27, 2017 (the “Clarkson Hill Report”). Further to Anfield’s news release of March 21, 2017, the Clarkson Hill Report is the second in a series of NI 43-101 technical reports related to Anfield’s 24 Wyoming uranium projects. The report was completed by BRS, Inc., a consulting and engineering firm with nearly 40 years of experience assessing Wyoming uranium projects.
The resource estimate includes an Inferred Resource of 957,000 tons of mineralized material with an average grade of 0.058{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} (equivalent to an Inferred Resource of 1,113,000 pounds of U3O8).
Corey Dias, Anfield’s CEO stated, “This report reflects Anfield’s continued drive to both identify and delineate the uranium resource on the Company’s properties in Wyoming in an effort to determine which of these projects are the most prospective. Ultimately, Anfield aims to pair a future viable uranium resource with the Resin Processing Agreement it has in place with Uranium One in Wyoming whereby it can process up to 500,000 pounds of uranium per year at Uranium One’s Irigaray Central Processing Plant.”
A summary of the Inferred Mineral Resource included in the Clarkson Hill Report is presented in Table 1.
Table 1 Inferred Mineral Resources | ||||||

Mineral resources are not mineral reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability in accordance with CIM standards. Inferred Mineral Resources are too speculative geologically to have the economic considerations applied to them which would enable them to be categorized as mineral reserves.
The Clarkson Hill project comprises approximately 500 acres of the mineral holdings of Anfield, and includes 25 unpatented mining lode claims located approximately 20 air miles southwest of Casper, Wyoming. The data used in the report consists of radiometric-equivalent data (eU3O8) for 255 holes; drill intercept data from 17 core holes and 238 rotary drill holes were utilized, along with drill intercepts, chemical assay certificates and both lithological and geophysical logs.
To the best of our knowledge there are no other legal or environmental matters that could materially affect the potential development of these resources.
Radiometric equilibrium was assumed and is supported by available data.
A unit weight of 125 pounds per cubic foot or 16 cubic feet per ton was assumed, based on available data and the Author’s direct mining experience within the host formation.
The deposit is closely drilled, approximately fifty to one hundred foot centers. The drilling demonstrates continuity particularly along the mineralized trends. Based on the drill density and the apparent continuity of the deposit along trend the mineral resource estimate would meet the criteria as an Indicated Mineral Resource. However, due to the lack of current drilling to verify the pre-2008 drill data, the Author has classified the estimate as Inferred Mineral Resources under the CIM Standards on Mineral Resources and Reserves.
The estimated mineral resources do not have demonstrated economic viability, but they have had technical and economic constraints applied to them to establish reasonable prospects for eventual economic extraction. The author expects the majority of the Inferred could be upgraded to Indicated Mineral Resources with additional drilling.
NI 43-101 Disclosure
The NI 43-101 Resource Technical Report completed for Clarkson Hill has been authored by Douglas L. Beahm, P.E., P.G. Principal Engineer, of BRS Inc. The author has reviewed and approved the technical content of this news release.
A technical report on the Resource Technical Report will be published on the System for Electronic Analysis and Retrieval (“SEDAR”) and the Company’s website within the 45 days permitted under NI 43-101.

Press Release: June 30, 2017
VANCOUVER, BC–(Marketwired – June 30, 2017) – Anfield Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ARY) (FRANKFURT: 0AD)(OTCQB: ANLDF) (“Anfield” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce a fully-subscribed, non-brokered private placement for 50,000,000 Units at $0.06, for a total equity raise of $3.0 million. The Unit consists of one common share and a one share purchase warrant, with each warrant exercisable at $0.10 for a five-year term. Finders’ fees may be paid in certain instances.
Corey Dias, Anfield’s CEO, stated, “We are excited to announce the closing of this financing. These funds will allow us to both meet obligations related to Anfield’s current projects and seek out further acquisition opportunities. We remain very optimistic about the uranium market. With Kazatomprom establishing a marketing arm in Europe in order to position itself as a swing uranium seller, we would expect to see less pressure on the spot price going forward. In addition, the reduction in the number of tons of uranium to be sold per year by the US DOE should also have a positive effect on the uranium spot price. Finally, we believe that the continued pace in the building of nuclear reactors in places such as China, India and the UAE will spur a continuing rally in uranium prices and entice both current and new producers to either maintain or expand their production efforts. Anfield aims to be a supply contributor once the uranium price reflects this reality”.
The foregoing is subject to regulatory approval.
The proceeds of $3,000,000 will be used for project acquisition and development and general working capital purposes.

Press Release: June 21, 2017
June 21, 2017 / TheNewswire / MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Momentum PR client, Anfield Resources is listed on the TSX Venture exchange under the symbol ARY, as well as on the OTCQB in the US under the symbol ANLDF.
Momentum PR is pleased to have produced an informative and comprehensive report on Anfield Resources, available on the Momentum PR LinkedIn page.
Anfield Resources Highlights:
- – Anfield Resources Set to Profit From Coming Uranium Shortage With 60 Reactors Under Construction In 15 Countries
- – China Building One Reactor Every Five Months
- – Dutch Commodity Expert Predicts $100 a Pound After 2020
- – Anfield is building out a unique asset base with access to lower-cost, near-term uranium production capacity in Wyoming and a longer-term, larger-scale, uranium production opportunity in Utah
- – Unique Agreement With Uranium One Provides Additional Processing and Ability to Borrow Processed Uranium
Anfield Resources, (TSX VENTURE: ARY) (FRANKFURT: 0AD) (OTCQB: ANLDF) has positioned itself as one of the next major suppliers to the American nuclear energy industry.
The rollback in uranium prices that took place after Fukushima in 2011 is now starting to reverse, albeit slowly. After Fukushima, uranium prices fell from $73 a pound to a low of $18 a pound. While pricing has rebounded slightly, the current $20 level isn’t sustainable as it remains below the cost of production.
Factors which could drive the price upward are supply shortages caused by mine closures and increasing global demand. Today there 20 nuclear reactors under construction across the globe and China is building one new reactor every five months. Globally, 150 new nuclear reactors are in the planning stage.
Canadian-headquartered Anfield set up shop in the United States because 20{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} of American electricity is generated by nuclear energy, and at present it imports over 90{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} of the uranium it uses.
Over the last four years, Anfield has acquired a number of conventional uranium assets in Utah, Colorado and Arizona as well as 24 ISR-amenable projects in Wyoming. An April 4, 2017, NI 43-101 report on one of the 24 Wyoming ISR assets, Red Rim, shows an indicated resource of 336,655 tons of mineralized material with an average grade of 0.17{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce} and an inferred resource of 472,988 tons of mineralized resource with an average grade of 0.163{92d3d6fd85a76c012ea375328005e518e768e12ace6b1722b71965c2a02ea7ce}, for a total uranium resource of 2,681,896 pounds.
Anfield’s unique market position is derived through both its ownership of the Shootaring Canyon Mill and its agreement with Uranium One. The Shootaring Canyon Mill is one of only three licensed, permitted and constructed conventional uranium mills in the United States. The 500,000 pounds/year processing agreement with Uranium One allows Anfield to process uranium from its ISR assets without the capex and lengthy timeline required to build its own ISR processing plant. The agreement with Uranium One also allows Anfield to both buy and borrow processed uranium from Uranium One to fulfill contracts.
Anfield recognizes that, as the uranium price begins to climb as a result of the supply-demand imbalance, those with access to lower-cost production capacity will be the early beneficiaries in the uranium market. Therefore, Anfield’s Resin Processing Agreement with Uranium One – when paired with the 24 projects acquired in Wyoming – will be the near-term focus for the company. Once the uranium price climbs to a point where conventional uranium mining is feasible, Anfield can then aim to bring its conventional mill – Shootaring – online, which would significantly increase the company’s annual production capacity.
In addition, Anfield has 8,418,000 pounds of measured, indicated and inferred uranium resources in its four conventional projects in Utah and Arizona. More than enough to make it a major energy fuel provider in the American market. In March, the company closed an oversubscribed private placement with gross proceeds totalling $2,888,061.
